Casey Chin was born and raised in Seattle, Washington and at the age of 8 her family relocated to Orange County, California.

Casey attended California State University of Fullerton and in 2008 received a degree in communications with an emphasis in broadcast journalism. While in college she continued to pursue an acting career. She honed her craft by taking theatre and film history courses, and performed in many college plays.

The bulk of her training came from the well renowned South Coast Repertory. There she attended classes in the adult acting conservatory and trained with many talented professionals. This included one of SCR's founding artists, Hal Landon, Jr. At the same time, she also worked on many independent and student (American Film Institute and USC) produced films in Los Angeles.

Since graduation she has moved to Los Angeles and continues to pursue a career in film and television.
