What most people don't realize when they say "All Lives Matter":
Yes, you are correct. Every life is precious, this is exactly our point. Listen...
When Africans were captured, enslaved and oppressed and brought to a country where they were the minority, black lives didn't matter. When they were only considered 3/5's of a person, black lives didn't matter. When black people went to war for a country that still discriminated against them, black lives didn't matter. When white people stole black music and made money off of it, black lives didn't matter. When black people had to sit in the back of the bus and forced to give up their seat to the white man, black lives didn't matter. When black people had to march in the streets to fight for basic civil rights and make their vote count, black lives didn't matter. When my dad married my mom, he feared for his life because blacks weren't supposed to marry whites, black lives didn't matter. The list is endless.
Innocent black men are being killed at an alarming rate by the police who are paid to protect and serve. I hope you can clearly see there is a STRONG history of racism and violence against us. We are by no means saying that black people are superior, we are screaming that amongst all the hatred, bigotry and murder of African Americans, BLACK LIVES MATTER.
