Yesterday, I took off my front tire and boarded the train to Tai Wai. Just after entering the gate an attendant asked me if I had paid the 20$ luggage fee. I nearly attacked him! While pretending to be patient I waited for him to measure the length of my bike. Apparently, if it is over 180 cm then I need to pay the fee. It was only 133 cm.
Once I got to Tai Wai I was quickly on my way! In fact I got to Fan Ling much sooner then I expected, but then nearly got lost in some small villages. When I found my way again I was already in Sheung Shui. Originally that I was planning to go there, have lunch, and then head back. But as I had only been out for just over an hour I decided to go a bit further.
Another hour or so later I was near Yuen Long. When I first got my bike a month ago I kept saying that eventually I would ride all the way out to Yuen Long, I didn't expect it to be so easy. So now that I have made my first distance goal I need to find some more challenges.
