"wearing the four-five, it aint to play games at you"

NBA Hall of Fame thoughts--

Wow, didn't expect Jordan to give such a raw speech. Most people's knock on him have always been his unwillingness to speak up/be outspoken because of his business ties. It's something that's ultimately "smart" in the real world of business but I hate it.

But anyway, after years of being not-too-opinionated (and not because he isn't, but because of all his corporate/business ties), Jordan finally let loose. What a speech.

Hova got it right with this verse in Encore

"when I come back like Jordan, wearing the 4-5, it ain't to play games with you, it's to aim at you, probably maim you"

Jordan was always a stone cold killer on the court, but never have I seen him this outspoken--calling out detractors and laying the smack down! He even mentions LeRoy Smith, the dude who was picked over him for the final spot of the varsity team in high school!

"I remember hearing all you media naysayers. Saying I wasn't as good as Magic, wasn't as good as Bird. Saying that scorer like me can never lead a team to a title...."

Even now, long after he's proven them wrong--you can see the fire and vengeance in his eyes.

check out the 7:30 mark..when Jordan gets to talking about Byron Russell, you see Jerry Sloan go "oh nooooo"

But the best speech of the night goes to David Robinson, who dedicated his speech to his son and wife.

To quote Bill Simmons, DAMN THE ROOM GOT MIGHTY DUSTY all of a sudden.

And finally... John Stockton... WTF with that bowtie?

But still. Another all time great.

Jerry Sloan, the best coach to never win a title and COY.... Not his fault though he got no ring. He ran into Jordan.

For the past few weeks everyone else in the hall of fame has been overshadowed by Michael Jordan, afterall, he is the GOAT (greatest of all time), but any real ball fan wouldn't let that overshadow DRob, Stock, Sloan, etc
