I've been working at SCMP lately. It happened randomly out of the blue, the editor asked me to fill in for a vacationing editor, and that somehow turned into a longer gig.
Because the SCMP happened so suddenly, I have to balance the full time gig with freelance work that I've picked up before hand. YO IMMA LET YOU FINISH, BUT THIS RICK REILLY STORY IS ONE OF THE GREATEST STORIES OF ALL TIME!

Rick Reily knows MJ more than most. MJ has always, ALWAYS been a stone cold killer who wants to win at all cost and uses every little slight as motivation. That's what drove him to be the GOAT--greatest of all time.
Reilly is right, I'm shocked MJ finally let the world see this side of him, cause for the past 20 years he'd been hiding behind the Nike/Gatorade promotional machine where he came off as wholesome. In real life, Jordan wouldn't befriend Bugs Bunny after a competition, he'd rip his heart out.
But that's required in sports. That's required to be the GOAT.
Most of us aren't coldblooded and can't fathom ever holding a 20 year grudge and talking about it at a celebration of our career. But most of us aren't the GOATs of anything.
