California Dreaming

The NBA playoffs started yesterday at 10pm. For the first time in years, I forgot about it and was only aware it started when I got home at 3am that night.

"Dude the Celtics/Bulls game is insane man," said my friend Marvin Lee, AKA THE TRUE LAKER FAN ( not like these bandwagon asscats who jump on because of Kobe) via AIM.

Back and forth game. Ty Thomas finds his J out of the blue and hits the Cs left and right, top to bottom. D Rose drops 36 and 11. Tied the highest point total for a first playoff outing record with Kareem. That's nuts. D Rose can ball.

On the Boston end, Jesus Shuttleworth stunked up the place on 1-12 shooting. Ray ray, what happened?

The Truth tried to keep it going though. He had a chance to win the game on two free throws with 2 seconds left but the second free throw bounced in and out. Game went into OT and the young Bulls simply had more legs.

Second year in a row the NBA playoffs opens with an epic. Remember last year's double OT Suns/Spurs game? That game marked the official end of the Suns run and gun 7 seconds or less era.

Anyway, it's Sunday afternoon. Turned on the TV and the first thing I hear is California Dreaming... Chungking Express!

One of two WKW movies I actually "get". Tony Leung and Faye Wong were mesmerizing in this film. Loved the initial meeting (over chef salad) and that ending...good stuff.
