Part of the Earth Day Celebrations this weekend will be the World Tai Chi Day Events....people all over the world have been asked to perform Tai Chi....wherever they are. I and my students will be going to Cupertino to the Omei Academy to take part in the Southbay Tai Chi Celebration. The event is being hosted by former World Tai Chi Champion of China, Zhao Yunjian at his School. If you are in the area do drop by!!
Will put up some pictures of this year's performances.....and some from CMAT 20.......just having problems uploading......hate the wireless connection I have...keeps dropping out makes putting
pictures up a real pain. Gotta love computer technology!!
Aya performing up in Napa at the OX Bow Mall for Year of the Dragon.....good to see her she's been busy studying and we haven't seen much of her.
Thomas and Mike doing the new spider puzzle for Simu's School.....
Marvin and his daughter, Cassie performing the two man Choy Lai Fut Staff Sparring Set.
Marla performing the 42 Sword at Chinese Education Center.....boy is that a square horse!!
We also performed for the kids at Spring Valley Elementary School..but they did one better...they made their own dragon and danced it for us.....awesome kids!!
During the Spring Festival we actually got Loren out to do the Lion Dance..you might not recognize him because he's under the green Lion, Thomas and Mike are under Old Blue.
This Year Golden Gate Fields held its own Year of the Dragon Celebration. Sifu Tat Wong invited me to help judge the Lion Dance Competition....Yau Gung Moon of course was there but it was great to see Dino and the Tian Lung School there too. Traditonal as well as modern Lion Dancing was represented. Golden mGate Fields was quite pleased with the results and promised to sponsor next years event...
Sleeping Lion...during the Golden Gate Fields Lion Dance Competition.
This was dragon dancing for the Chinese Historical Society....this is the huge percussion group we had.......Corey from Kei Lun is leading us by doing the drumming....
Kei Lun's Dragon........small but still requires a good deal of cooperation to dance properly..
Well that was some of this year's events...only took 2 hours of uploading :(...........haha, but not bad for me!
Finally, Baseball Season has gotten started....go Giants.........for all the naysayers....its only been 17 games.......and we don't have a closer and lost Huff.......but hey the Giants can actually hit some..but pitching has been rough....so what else could happen??
