Shaolin and other things

Had a good workout....had the young wushu students worked on Tan Tui.......they were very together...and starting to show some power....that's why it was the standard training for students in Jing Wu...at one time was also the basics for Contemporary Wushu students........in the late 80's and early 90's.....the wushu Coaches cut it out of their training program....they wanted quic\ker results....you are suppose to turn out an advance wushu player in two years....if the student doesn't make the grade....they are gone.  The Taiji Students all worked on application...learned how to deflect a strike and apply a joint lock to disable the attacker.......was a lot of fun........I was pleased the ladies all got into it......something we should not shy away from!  One of the Shaolin Monks....Chang qiang...came to visit and wat ch our workout  He wanted to really workout....but he told me he's not suppose to...as he is recovering from surgery on his knee and wrist....ah, that's what Wushu does for you!!  afterwards we all hung out at Jitlada...and Chef Pai treated us to a great meal! 

After, lunch it was time to gert ready for a Lion Dance at the Regency Center.  It was a Halloween Wedding.....kind of neat....the guests and wedding party all came in costume!!  So Jared and I were the two Buddhas....we fit right in!

Jason was dancing the other lion...and Corey drumming....they are working out the program for the wedding.

Thomas and Jason were the tails for the two lions.

We did a spider theme Lion Dance since it was Halloween.............afterwards it was across the street to Village Pizzeria and the Giant's Game....good food, good game and great company....good all around!! 

OK, off to dinnner....Go Giants!!
