Last nite after running all over Beijing ended up at the Golden Jaguar..........the best Buffett in Beijing...........................Simu, Mars, Glenn, Jennifer and her husband Wang Wei were all there to test out the food. While Wang Wei and I talked wushu....everyone else went to get food...........and I must say this is as good if not better than the buffett's in Las Vegas.
this is the awesome Mall that the Golden Jaguar is in. The ceiling of the Mall is a giant digital screen!!
Plenty of tables and food stations....food from lots of different countries.....and no smoking!
Wang Wei had a great time.....he told me to check out the expensive hard to get items......
Simu,Mars and Jen had a great time trying all the different food.
The food was fresh and there are a large variety of different foods from various countries. There was also many things I didn't try including goose and porpoise!! Then just before we were getting ready to leave a customer started a fight.......he tried to hit the manager because he was asked to stop smoking in the eating area...............that is one big improvement...there are actually no smoking signs.....and in high end eating places and hotels you are asked to not smoke......of course, often people just ignore the signs. In HK they have a simple solution to littering.......just fine you $3000 RMB......then you definitely stop! Today had a session with Master Zhao.......on developing internal practice thru the Bin Gan...the Taiji Whip Staff.......the inside must move the outside...the staff moves one way and your Dan tian the other way. It is not enough to just be soft.......it was an interesting discussion on the difference between real Taiji practice and what can only be referred to as Wushu Taiji.......which sits back and forth.....there is no such movement in Taiji.......it was added to make taiji easier to learn......but makes it useless. But wushu has popularized it so much no one remembers how it is suppose to be done. Master Zhao's Wife made zhaozi for us...she said there is a Beijing saying that a martial artist needs to do two things in life...one is to see the Great Wall, and the other to eat Beijing zhaozi! I have now done both!! In the afternoon went with Master Chen Xiang to the Nine Dragon Wall in Beihai Park.....to practice Chen applications, Hun Yan Xinyi, and Hun Yan 64 Palms................in each case focusing on on how to integrate Hun Yan principles with other arts and styles. So in the end contrary to what most people think...............all Wushu is the same......but have different outward expressions. After that it was time for dinner...........................had a MacDonalds Chinese Chicken Sandwich........it is surprisingly good....too bad only available in China! Time to catch some Z's tomorrow we visit the Tomb of Dong Hai Chuan....the founder of Baguazhang...it's the Ching Ming Festival.....China is having a big celebration for it.....nite all!!
