Lunch with Coach Wu

In the morning we finished up the 6th row of the 64 Palms with Master Yang.  Ben and Michael got dropped really good........got to see some of the effectiveness of the qinna techniques.  Often you cause your opponent to react, after which there is no escape.  64 Palms must be practiced with the application in mind in order to do the form correctly and with spirit.  Then Master Yang finished with a basic joint lock form, which for those of you who know is almost identical with Master Chen's Two man qinna form...the source for that form is the same.

Coach Wu, Coach Lu, and Chao Yue's Mom took us out to Huairou, to Lung Fu Shan Zhong.....use to be a Wushu Training center.  We had a fabulous organic luncheon. Everything grown on the school premises.

In the afternoon, went with Lu Jin Ming to Huairou......to Lung Fu Shan Zhong....use to be a wushu training facility....which the government is going to sell and build housing.Coach Wu was waiting for us..looks to be in great health.  Met the current director of the facility......and was treated to an  organic meal.......all fruits, vegetables,eggs...are organically grown.  The special treat was the red wine that he fermented himself...about 80 proof.....and the turtle soup........I was told all of China's Olympic athletes also enjoyed this soup.  Coach Wu had us toast often and had us try different wines. 

All the vegetables were freshly organically grown.  In china that's pretty special, as most fresh vegetables have to be cooked in order to safely eat it....most of this lunch was raw!

The lunch however, was not all fully vegetarian!  Coach Wu had me eat the turtle shell...it was made into a soup.  All of China's Olympic athletes was given this to eat before the Olympics to give them extra power!!Getting ready to leave now.......packing, and having our last cafeteria dinner(!)........want to wish Loren best of luck at the US Team tryouts...............hope we hear good news when we return.  I will post pictures from our trip when I get back, the internet connection here not so good.  Has something to do with their firewall!?Cya all in the US!!
