An Olympic Break

On Tuesday took a short time out from watching the Games to have dinner with Pat after he returned from Hawaii......good to see Emilio....and Paul one of my Calwushu students from generation 3........haven't seen him in a long time....he's now working for Apple......and we got a quick introduction to all the things an Iphone can do........I have been hesistant to get one cause I have heard it doesn't do that well as a phone and it's hard to use...............but looks like it has a lot of kool apps that turn the Iphone into a really useful device with lots of functionality.  It was good to see Pat to........it's only been 7 months since I last saw him.......but from his conversation........it is quite apparent that AnD is doing well with artist joining all the time...........tho he said there is a need to police the site to keep creeps out.........yeah we don't need them to drive away artist........it is a very unique social network........where artist and fans can all communicate.....nothing quite like it  on the internet........................Anyways, we had dinner downtown in the Westfield Mall........which I have heard of but never been to..........I don't like going downtown unless I have no choice......................but it proved to be quite spectacular................was the old Emporiums building.............I am quite glad they kept the dome...and built the stores around it.......very nice.

The Westfield Mall in Dowtown San Francisco reminds me of the big Malls in Beijing......but this is not as crowded!

Also, went to check out the new Mummy 3 movie.......it's OK........entertaining but some of  shapechanging theabilities of the Emperor played by Jet Li were not very believable.........and he had almost no lines.................CGI Yeti's just didn't make it....just too fake.  While Brandon Frazier was his usual self........Maria Bello........just did not have the screen presence that Rachel Weis has.......and finally, the son looks like he's the same age as his parents.........Indiana Jones this is not.............but some nice action scenes.........and lots of Terracotta Warriors......I would rate this below Forbidden Kingdom............fun but too much CGI was used............anyway it's a good diversion just don't expect a semi-believable story! Haha..........

Movie was fun.......but Michele Yueh was way underused and Jet had very few lines!
