Sometimes I feel like I desperately need to download some of the experiences and things I have learned onto other's who are noobs at being parents in the hope that maybe I can make their lives easier; and also to push back somewhat against the tidal wave of failed parental strategies I see in society today.

I think most parents make life unnecessarily hard for themselves and set unrealistic expectations on themselves. I also think that many strategies employed by parents of the current generation are actually based around their own narcissistic tendencies; and serve the parents FEELINGS more than the child's actual NEEDS.

I think this is evidenced by the ever-increasing instance of parents who think that micro-managing every aspect of their child's life is what "love" is.

I thought that friends and family now having children might be able to learn something from my personal truth, applying it to themselves and becoming better parents - however, I find myself slowly coming to terms that maybe nobody cares what I know or what I've been through.

Maybe this is because Google has everything everyone could ever want to justify what they WANT their reality to be (to justify their preconceived viewpoints).
