Ash Gordey was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He lived in Guangzhou, China for 14 years where he was in several television commercials working with Ge you, Gong Li, Huangshengyi, and many others. He later branched off into modelling and later into bigger movie productions such as Yip Man and The Wasted Years. He returned to Canada in March 2015 to deal with health issues. In mid-2016, he dipped his feet into acting again. Edmonton does not have a huge film market so he is just working in short films, a few ads, and networking.
