Sup all
This weekend was interesting, played 2 Dj sets one mellow the other hard.
Played a 3 hour Dj set at Garageworkswhich was cool. The artist in question was the one known as Revolution and his stuff iis awesome, he also did a live painting on glass, and launched his toy which Garageworks produced for him. Toy trivia:The hand in the toy is actually based on a picture of the artists very own hand (see learn something almost everyday !!).
I always like playing the art gallery/Garageworks sets because it an interesting environment, the crew running Garageworks (chris and Jian are cool) and I can blend musical styles such as Japanese, Korean and American Hip-hop with electronica, ambient techno and drum n bass (as long as its more on the mellow side seeing how the whole thing is more about the visuals than anything). I recorded the set I played on Friday and will upload it to my profile soon, under the name "The Garageworks Sessions: Part 1"
The pics and short but sweet video show some of what went on

Saturday I played a gig at sammi's kitchen together with Dj Libertine aka Simon, which was much more aggressive based sound wise.
For both my Dj sets, as I do for music production and playing live, I use Ableton Live. When Djing I warp tracks and samples (this means that all tracks are cut into lots of different loops so I can play them and take em apart like a puzzel) Ableton also allows me to play multiple tracks at once. I also use a VST plugin called Artillery which allows for instant multiple effects.
When Playing with Simon he used Serato. Apologies for the distortion on the vid but the bass was well high, and the camera mic isn't the best haha
