8FIVE2SHOP SKATEBOARDING

It’s been a long hiatus with the Chinese New Year festivities and my father alone having 16 siblings (yes all from the same mom), mothers side having 9 siblings, you can imagine what a crazy time of the year this can be.

Anyway, back to the blog:

There’s this guy by the name of Bertnand who came to the shop and said that he wanted to take photos for SUGAR and KINGPIN magazines from France. He showed us his photos…pretty sick. I can’t seem to be able to pronounce Bertnand’s name properly and every time I try, he says it’s wrong so, we decided to call him BEN instead. Cool cat.

Anyway, yesterday (Sunday), 8FIVE2CRU took Ben to skate and take some photos. It went pretty damn good and fo real, BEN is a good photographer. He got feel and sense, respect. Can’t wait to check out those photos in print back in France. Hong Kong represent or should I say HONGMUTHAFUCKINKONG represent.

CHUN CHAI.

He’s been repping 8FIVE2SHOP for a minute and never cease to amaze me. He improves every second in this skateboarding, dayeem. I miss being so young.

Nollie Backside Big Spin or Appleyard Shove It to Nosepick

Lee Hawk does nollie 360 shove it and makes Sha Tin proud. Chun Chai takes it to another level. YES, nollie 360 shove it over the yellow. No matter how they paint the yellow bank at Morrison Hill with whatever color, it’s still known as THE YELLOW.

PIET GUILFOYLE

The second rider from 8FIVE2SHOP. This kid not only skates with amazing style but casual lazy steez with a smile in his face. Piet is the future for sure. He’s very simple, CAMEL ciggarettes and PHONE for him to text and he’s living life. Love it.

Blunt Flip in, what??? Daewon will be proud for sure.

One of the illest tre flips in HK. Over the yellow,psyched.

Very PIET, VERY PIET! NON STOP. His monthly SMS text fee can definitely rent a small store at Fan Ling, for sure.

DANI BAUTISTA

Another one for the future of Hong Kong skateboarding. This kid improves super amazingly. Don’t fuck with him in the game of S K A T E, Dani got tricks for days. Not only has he got a lot of tricks but he does them with steez and pop. Super dope. Best tre flips and fakie tre flips in HK, no doubt. Keep it up D, you got mad potential. Come down to 8FIVE2SHOP and say HI to Dani, he keeps the shop running and running smoothly. Good job.

Ummm…CHUKKA LOW is still the best looking and best overall for skateboarding. The most copied

skateboard shoes after Half Cab, for sure. SICKKKK.
