Raindance presented it's 2013 Festival line-up. "The Far Flung Star" a US/Hong Kong production produced and directed by Steve Balderson will have it's world premiere on the 30th Sept  in London." The Far Flung Star is the perfect festival movie if you’re looking for something a little light hearted that you can lose yourself in for ninety minutes.Diana Dunbar is desperate for her big break but is stuck in small parts for cheap genre movies. Struggling to find a role that will elevate her to stardom, she’s visited by her brother Ian and finds herself thrust into a real life spy mission. Ian reveals that his lover was a spy who has been murdered, and that his life too is in danger. He enlists his sister’s help to finish the ‘dead-drop’ mission his lover had started. Hot footing it to Hong Kong with Ian and joined by an American backpacker with whom Diana shares sexual chemistry, the three set about solving a riddle on a postcard that leads them into conflict with half-witted mercenaries and a ruthless police officer.Full of humour and blessed with an intoxicating energy all its own, The Far Flung Star takes in a series of oddball characters and bizarre set pieces (including a chase down the world’s longest outdoor escalator) that will leave you feeling exhilarated come the closing credits.
