A holiday message from the late Doctor Christiaan Bernard, the worlds first heart transplant

The late doctor stirred much controversy in his achievement!  This bumper sticker has now a double meaning!:)

Recreational chemicals and alcohol poison the heart muscles and can lead to later heart failure....the choice is yours!  But there is duality in your choice also....many children are born with defective hearts that need replacing to families that are poor.....don't take away their chances .......

This bumper sticker came is a photo from the Heart of South Africa a museum in tribute to the late doctor's achievements.  In an archival video interview.....his words.......

"Any doctor can tell you what death is........but life?......I can't tell you what life is.......but life is to be celebrated!........"
