A summa cum laude graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she earned a B.A. degree in Film and Television, Ana Marie Ramos began her career at actress-director-producer Jodie Foster's production company, Egg Pictures, where she worked in the development department. She first gained recognition in late 1999 as one of the recipients of the prestigious Samuel Goldwyn Award, the same distinction given to auteurs such as Francis Ford Coppola. She has also received the Hollywood Radio & Television Society's International Broadcasting Award and honorable mentions from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences Nicholl Fellowship in Writing and the Paramount Pictures/Chesterfield Writers Film Project Fellowship. Since then, Ramos has written, co-directed, and co-produced the feature political documentary, "Coming Full Circle" (2000) for Shooting Star Productions, as well as short-form television scripts. She is currently casting the principal actors of an intriguing new feature that she will direct. Set in Prague, New York, and Hong Kong, the film has been described as a cross between "Babel" and "Crash." She resides in Los Angeles.
