We've heard of "water into wine"...but I was mesmerized with the Tau't Batu Tribe as they made honey into wine. This homemade concoction is part of a tradition ceremony to celebrate a successful harvest of their crops. What an adventure! After spending the last week camping out in the mountainous terrain of Palawan with the Lost Tribe of Tau't Batu Tribe, it's time to slowly trek my way back to civilization. To reach this location required a six hour drive to the closest drop off point before a steep five hour hike to their home in the caves. I'll share more from this incredible journey once I get my bearings straight. After flying and transiting last night and until this morning before driving seven over hours on unpaved bumpy roads, we finally arrived to "base camp" this evening. Tomorrow, we'll trek up the mountains in Palawan to explore how a lost tribe that was only discovered twenty years ago manages to flourish and coexist harmoniously with Mother Nature.
