Snow in Singapore??

With episode one of The Amazing Race Asiaon the airwaves, it's time to bring up some other "amazing" things.

I couldn't believe it!  Yesterday, it actually snowed here in Singapore:

If you didn't know, Singapore is located right near the equator so the general climate here is tropical, which is hot and humid with sudden rainshowers. 

People of all shapes and ages were elated to actually see snow come floating down.  And it's truly "amazing" how fast the snow was coming down.

Of course, for anyone who's ever been to Singapore, this "snow" is just for "show."  To get in the festive mood (and to get shoppers "shopping"), one of the local malls actually set up these foam machines to simulate snow (You can actually see some of the machines blowing foam out in the picture below).  This is the closest Singapore will ever come to getting snow cuz it's just too hot here.

Actually, it's pretty good fun everyone of all ages, especially the little ones.  Just be prepared to get all wet and slimy!

Alright, now here's something that is true and "amazing."  My long-time friend Irene Ang and Yan Yan (the other half of the sisters from the Singaporean movie "881") along with some friends opened up a little "fish shop" called Kampong Fish Therapy. 

This ain't your average "fish shop" because the fish in this store specialize in munching off the dead skin from your body.

So all you have to do is sit there, and this huge swarm of little fish come swarming to nibble at your dead skin.  I only opted for the legs although you can also do only your arms or your entire body.

I bet you're wondering does it hurt??  Nah...it doesn't hurt a bit although it can be quite ticklish so be prepared to squeal!

Now, it's back to business.  Episode Two is right around the corner.  No team got eliminated in the first ep so there's a good possibility someone might not make the cut this coming episode.  Which team do you think it might be??
