Rolling with the Stones in Budhapest

Being back in Singapore has been great.  Even though I sometimes complain that the weather is too hot and humid, it sure is a lot more bearable than the freezing temperatures in Beijing.  Also, I can easily access AXN again to watch The Amazing Race Asia

We were all saddened to see Natasha and Paula eliminated, but that's the nature of the race.  Both girls had been great the entire duration, and we all wondered just how far they could've gone if they hadn't got stuck waiting for Terri and Henry at the Intersection back in Prague.

I really enjoyed this particular leg of the race because we actually didn't have to wait too long at the pit stop.  We were perched on top of a hill overlooking the city so we could clearly see Adrian/Collin and Marc/Rovilson frantically counting the bars on the bridge below.

The race does seem easier at this time because there are fewer teams so the waiting at the pit stops usually isn't as long.  All the teams arrived this day with ample sunlight to spare so I had the opportunity to explore the city of Budapest.  I even squeezed in a swim at the tiny indoor pool in my hotel too.

Recently, I read in the news how movie actress Charlize Theron thought that Budapest was the capital city of Turkey.  The people of Hungary were so "tickled" by this that they've offered a formal invitation for Ms. Theron to take a private jet to Budapest so that she can fully experience and enjoy the city--and to make a playful jab at her little "boo boo."   If I were her, I'd take up the offer since Budapest is truly one destination not to be missed, especially if the Hungarians are offering you a free trip and a flight on a private jet!

Just when I thought that my time on the race couldn't get any more amazing, I had the opportunity to catch The Rolling Stones in Budapest later that evening.  Now, that was truly an awesome experience to be amongst all the Hungarian fans.

The stage was set and spectacular, and we all were amused with Mick Jagger's stab at speaking Hungarian throughout the evening.

The Rolling Stones truly know how to rock...and roll.  After they obliged to multiple encore performances, everyone left the concert happy and ready to party.  Unfortunately, I couldn't partake in those festivities as I had to pack for my big flight out of Eastern Europe to... .

There's only two episodes left for the race.  So who do you think will be crowned the champions for the second season of The Amazing Race Asia?  Who do you think will be eliminated next?  As you've seen, anything can happen to anyone, and that's what makes it so exciting and engaging.  I hope you've thoroughly enjoyed watching the race and have got your pens out to fill out the application for Season Three!

Until we speak again, I'm off to do imaging for a new television show that I'll be hosting here in Singapore.  I'm sure you might have heard of it, and I'll tell you more about it next time!
