I should've done this a long time ago, but it's better late than never. If you got kids or friends with kids, then I highly recommend this children's activity book from first time published author Li Lin Wong called
Perceptive Play!, especially with Christmas coming right up. I hear it's pretty good
...and would be a lot of fun for your kids (or your friend's kids) and you! In case you're wondering where to get your paws on a copy, then just surf on over to Amazon.
Last week was pretty busy with various preview screenings of the first episode of The Amazing Race Asia for media and sponsors. However, I was able to check out this play called The PIllowman:
By the time you read this, it's run will be done, but I must give it out to all the actors cuz it totally rocked. Great job to all of them involved. Unfortunately, I had some drunk dude snorting and chortling for a good half of the first act so it ruined a portion of the experience. Luckily, we got the person "permanently excused" for the second act so that made it much more enjoyable.
The last several days, I've been involved with Audi to launch their new supercar, the R8. It's the first time Audi organized something of this scale in Singapore, and I must say that it went off really well. I think they really got the word out that they mean business with this lean, mean, "probably can make you cream" machine:
I've never been a huge car buff, but it's been nice to work with Audi cuz now I actually know more than I'll probably ever know about sports cars. Oh yeah...here's this handmade replica of a 1936 Auto Union Type C "Silver Arrow" that got auctioned off for $17,000 SGD for charity:
Of course, all these formal affairs usually got beautiful models in tow. However, I don't think these models usually go through an exchange like this:
Guest: "You know...you are the most beautiful woman at this event tonight."
Model: "Why thank you." (With a pleasant and practiced smile)
Guest: "However, you are ONLY the second most beautiful thing in this room...right after the (Audi) R8."
O-U-C-H
Needless to say, I don't think the model was smiling so pleasantly after that comment.
In case you're wondering, this model isn't the one from the earlier exchange. I just put her here to make you think this was the one!
