Red Bull Soap Box HK Aftermath!

It was a LONG day yesterday at Red Bull's first Soapbox Race here in Hong Kong.  As you may have seen in the recent blogs,  AnD was a media sponsor and also fielded a team. 

Like the other 43 teams that lined up on the start line yesterday, we have been furiously preparing the last few weeks on our car...   over 35,000 people came out to check out the event too,  so many that the police had to turn people away!

Congrats to the winning team,  Outsign Lab! As for our team,  we had two groups contributing,  Henry and his VCMC team who engineered the car and also our friends from Start From Zero who handled the performance part and also car's graphics.  Our plan was to have SFZ do some live graffiti and then launch our car out of a giant garage we made.  But unfortunately we did have a bit of a snafu in our performance + launch timing.

Rather than spoil the surprise, just watch this and be sure not to skip past the 35 second mark! :-P

Despite that collision,  (and hitting a few hay bails on the way down), our car actually finished with one of the fastest times of the day!
