We have an announcement to share with everyone on the One Minute Film Festival Asia that we were partnered with. We regret to announce that the organizers have decided to close the competition and combine it with the International One Minute Film Festival.
They have released this statement to the people who have already contributed films:
Dear 1 Minute Film Festival (Asia) entrant,
On behalf of 1 Minute Film Festival (Asia), I would like to thank you for
submission. Your work means a lot to those involved with the festival and
to the film community at large. Unfortunately, I'm disappointed to inform
inform you that we will no longer be able to select winners as earlier
publicized. The reason is that the submissions did not match the original
expectations of the sponsors for the films. We apologize for the
inconvenience, but will forward your films to the International One Minute
Film Festival for entrance in the Free Subject category, (for which the
deadline is 28 Feb.) so that you are still in the running to win a prize.
The prize is HK$2,000.
Again, thank you for your submission and for your understanding.
Sincerely,
Henry OhThe Free Subject category's deadline is Feb 28th and the films already submitted can be seen here -
