Keanu Reeves' "Man of Tai Chi" Press Conference at Beijing International Film Festival|Keanu Reeves' "Man of Tai Chi" Press Conference at Beijing International Film Festival|基努·裏維斯

AnD was fortunate to be invited to attend the 3rd Beijing International Film Festival by our partners at Film Business Asia.  The main event on Day One was the press conference for the upcoming film "Man of Tai Chi".  For those not familiar, its Hollywood Superstar Keanu Reeves' directorial debut and stars Tiger Chen (Reeves' martial arts coach in the Matrix films),  Karen Mok, and Reeves himself in a supporting role.  Also a number of other AnD artists took part in the film.  We can't wait to see it!

The press conference was for premiere of the official trailer of the film.  You can view it now here:

The press conference featured Keanu,  legendary action director Yuen Woo Ping,  Tiger Chen Hu, supporting actress Ye Qing.  (And was MC'ed by actress and celebrity host Zhu Zhu). Here's our video highlights of the press conference (sorry, we tried to get as much of both the English and Chinese as possible, but not everything is translated fully):

An FYI for those not aware - its very common for Western stars coming to Chinese film and music events to get a LOT of questions about their favorite Chinese foods or cities, etc.  We cut a lot of these out of the video, but there was a LOT!

We were most excited about that little tidbit about "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" part 3! Can't wait to see if that happens! ;-)

Here's a few stills from our camera as well -

Although he was whisked away right after the event ended,  Keanu seemed to be quite nice and accomodating of the various questions from the press.  Also at the end of the press conference he and Tiger both commented in English and Chinese on the recent Sichuan earthquake which had happened that very day and was still a developing situation when this event took place.

Thanks to the BJIFF and Film Business Asia for the opportunity to attend!

Flagday - yes for sure. the trailer looks like another turn on the 'tournament' type genre... 'Bloodsport' (or 'The Quest'), 'Mortal Kombat', 'Best of the Best 2', 'Enter The Dragon', etc... can't go wrong! :-D
