Improvements to the interface and settings | 首頁面板和設定的修改|首页面板和设定的修改

We've been working hard here at Alive Not Dead and listening to your comments as well as gather our own ideas about how to make the site easier to navigate and use on a daiily basis. I wanted to introduce some recent changes that we've made.

First, we've simplified the "User Panel" which you'll see on the righthand side of the page when you're logged in. The new panel is a slightly simplified design that removes some of the duplicate buttons and places a greater emphasis on two very important buttons at the top:

"My feeds" will take you to a page where you can read all of the recent blog entries from all of your friends and anyone who you're a fan of. This is really convenient to read during your lunch break -- a single page that has everything that you need to get updated on what your favorite friends and artists are doing. If you're like me, you've bookmarked this page and return to it several times a day (but I'm just obsessive like that).

We also have the "Inbox"which manages all of the private messages between you and your friends.

Next, we have the "Comments"menus -- comments to your own entries, to other people's entries that you've subscribed to (when YOU commented to their entry), and to any forum threads that you're subscribed to. Clicking on the "+" sign will open up a really useful menu where you can see when comments have been made to these items. This way, you can stay "involved" an the ongoing discussion.

Finally, we have the "Statistics" bar. This was previously at the top of the page, but we've moved it lower. Here you can get the latest stats on how popular your profile and guestbook are.

Some of you might have been wondering where the heck we put the "Settings" link. Well, we took a long look at how people were accessing the settings page and found that they were using it from their own profile pages. As a consequence, we've decided to unify the menus between your profile and your settings page into one. Now, you can access all of your profile pages AND your settings pages from a single menu.

If you're having trouble viewing the menu bar of your page, click Ctrl-F5 to refresh the page.

When you're looking at your own profile, a Settings button will appear on the very left of the menu. Additionally, hovering over the appropriate menu buttons will open up submenus allowing you to access any of the settings pages that you might need.

另外，還有”評論區”—你自己空間的新增評論、訂閱空間的新增評論（隻對你寫過評論的內容）和訂閱論壇的新增帖子。點擊”+”號就能全部展開。這樣，你能隨時知道參與過的討論又有什麼新內容加入了。

最後是”統計”區，我們把它從最上面稍微放下來點，是你空間的最新訪問和訪客留言的數據。

可能有人注意到原先的”設定”按鈕不見了。這段時間以來，我們發現大家很多時候都是在自己的空間裏使用設定功能，所以我們把”我的空間”和”設定”兩個頁面合而為一。現在你點擊”我的空間”就能進行用戶設定了。

如果瀏覽頁面出錯，請用Ctrl+F5刷新一下。

當你查看自己空間時，最左邊的菜單就是”用戶設定”。鼠標指到菜單時，會出現一些下拉的小菜單，讓你更容易找到需要的設定功能。
