With Your Support People Living With Dementia Can Still Lead a Good Life

“Who are you?” How will you react if your beloved family member cannot recognize you? What you can do when the symptoms are getting so serious that he loses his personhood or does not know even how to clean himself or has trouble in speech? Who you can turn to for help?

Hong Kong Alzheimer’s Disease Association is granted a Flag Day on 3 March 2012 by Social Welfare Department to raise fund in Kowloon to support our services for people with dementia and their families.

The Association is a non-profit making charity organization established in 1995 dedicated to providing services and support to patients with dementia and their families. Since the Association is not subvented by government, we rely on fundraising events to operate our service. Your kind assistance in our flag day will be a great help to the Association. You could support us from the following methods:

1) Join our volunteer team

2) Donation Remarks: donation form and volunteer application form can be downloaded from our website www.hkada.org.hk. Donation of $100 or above are tax deductible with a receipt.

「您是誰？」當您摯愛的親人視您如同陌路人時，您會有甚麼反應？如果症狀逐漸嚴重，令他失去原有的性格，甚至連刷牙、說話的能力都喪失時，您會怎麼辦？有誰可以幫到您？

香港老年痴呆症協會的宗旨是為老年痴呆症患者及其家人提供適切支援。服務包括早期檢測、日間中心、到戶訓練、社區教育、家屬分享、專業訓練及輔導等。雖然本會沒有政府資助，但仍不斷拓展服務，以回應社會需求。蒙社會福利署批准，本會將於二零一二年三月三日（周六）舉行九龍區賣旗日。是次賣旗的收益，將全數用於開辦將軍澳及荃灣的新中心，讓更多有需要人士受惠。您可以透過以下方式支持我們：

1) 申請成為賣旗義工

2) 捐款支持

備註：義工報名表及捐款表格可於 www.hkada.org.hk下載；捐款港幣$100以上，可憑收據申請減稅。
