A quick announcement for everyone who was following the DJ Competition put on by the W Hotel that we helped to promote in May and June!  The final event in Bali has been announced! check it out.... for you DJ heads out there, a good excuse to plan that Bali trip you've been wanting to do. ;-)

The award-winning W Retreat & Spa Bali – Seminyak is set to kick off the Island’s high season by hosting SPF 2012 (Sip.Play. Flirt.).a music festival featuring an array of international DJs from 18-21 July 2012.  In conjunction with W Hotels Worldwide & burn DJ Labs, each night guests will be entertained during sunset at various locations around the Retreat and in the evenings at WooBar. 

On 21 July, the festival will culminate in a WET Deck pool party where 12 DJs will perform, one each hour, beginning at 3PM.  A W Bali signature firework & light show will conclude the outdoor event at 10PM.  For those that still want to mix & mingle, the party continues downstairs at WooBar with the remaining 7 DJs.

Michaelangelo L’Acqua, Global Brand Music Director for W Hotels Worldwide, has handpicked the up & coming Talent and brings them together to hone their already exceptional skills that will catapult them for the W Hotel Global Tour.  The DJs cover all genres of music as well as all corners of the globe, from Los Angeles to Istanbul, Sao Paulo to Berlin, and from London to Seoul.  W Hotels and burn DJ Lab held an online competition on mix.dj where voters choose the final DJ to represent Asia (Seoul).

Headliners for the SPF 2012 event on 21 July include Rob Garza of Thievery Corporation and Jason Bentley, Music Director of KCRW Radio (Los Angeles).
