Cung Le KO's Franklin at UFC Macao!

The UFC Macao just ended a few hours ago and we've already combed through our pics for a few to share here.  First of all congratulations to all the fighters who won, and respect to all those who didn't.   It was an entertaining night even though there were a lot of split decisions and not as many tap-outs and knock-outs that we like to see! ;-)

Bruce Buffer is a really nice guy.  We met him backstage before the fight. 

One of the most impressive victories of the night was Korea's Kim Dong Hyun, who dominated his opponent the entire match.

Thiago Silva vs Stanislav Nedkov.   Silva had the only choke out of the night in the 3rd match.

Finally the main event,  Cung Le vs Rich Franklin!

Here's Bruce Buffer's energetic intro for Cung and Rich -All the other matches went to 3 rounds,   so this event came well after the scheduled end time of the event....  but no one left early, they wanted to see if Cung could pull it out.

After 2 minutes of trading light blows and kicks,  Cung got a lucky hit in and dropped Franklin like a sack of potatoes.  ( see the stunning photo and results here  and the video highlights from Fuel TV linked here) Here's our video of Cung's celebration - After they got him up to his feet Franklin still seemed pretty out of it.

You could tell Cung was happy the fight ended quick.

After the event it was the post-fight press con.  6 fighters from 6 different countries took to the mics to answer reporter's questions. 

Silva had a black eye, but Kim didn't have a scratch on him, since he was the one raining down most of the blows in his fight.Quote of the night Thanks again to UFC, Venetian Macao and Fox Asia for the press access on this event!
