Monday Morning

        It's Monday morning! The sunrise on my face gave me a gentle nudge to open my eyes for the day. I assumed that that ray of light would bring me a good day. I stretched out like a lazy cat and then, I closed my eyes again to do the exercise that was given by my acting teacher.

'Lesson one: Concentrate on your senses.Make them work for you artificially ' he says.

   I was supposed to awaken my senses by feeling and listening to everything around me each morning. I had to be relax and imagine myself floating.Naturally, I followed his instructions like an obedient student.Afterall, they say that a new broom always sweeps clean.   

Question: What happens when you're too relaxed?

You fall asleep again!! The next time I woke up, I thought that I only took a 15-min-nap only to find out that it was 2pm!!

'Well done, Rachel! You wake up at 2pm when your acting class is at 2pm.You're hopeless'! I said, as though I was reprimanding my other self who happens to be more irresponsible.

  I rushed out only to realise that it was pouring cats and dogs.My shuttle bus has left and there were no taxis in sight. So much for my good day.And so much for practicing before classes!
