On my short trip to Ho Chi Minh city I managed to stumble into some surprisingly decent restaurants. Dau Homemade is a chain, and the first Vietnamese meal I had this trip. ☝?- a vegan platter (you can get larger portions with meat) which has steamed vermicelli, fried tofu (YUM), cucumbers, and herbs. They give you a bowl with shrimp paste + fish sauce (stinky and I love it), and you add sugar, lime, and chillis to flavour. The tofu + dip combo is like HK-style stinky tofu! ✌?- um. Deep fried goodness. Salty egg yolk, minced pork, vermicelli, and black fungus. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
