Once upon a time my mom bought clothes for my brothers and I. As we grew older my brothers developed their own sense of style that didn't quite match up with hers but nevertheless, she continued to buy clothes for the three of us, eventually all ending up in my closet.
Throughout my time in school I wore clothes that fit, shirts that were too big, and pants that were too small. It wasn't until I was about 21 and living on my own on a separate continent that I had started to buy clothes for myself. I learned that fashion and style is like anything else, you have to learn it and practice it before you get good at it. I have been blind to that world for most of my life and so clothes are still to this day hastily thrown together, not always well, and sometimes still.. sourced from my mom. Thanks mom.
Every now and then I get to do a photo shoot of some kind and it's a load of fun. They put you in places people don't normally hang out, they put you in positions that you rarely find yourself in but most pleasantly they dress you up so you don't have to sweat about doing it yourself and can take the time to learn about how they do it. So with all that said, let me share this editorial feature from Vigore Magazine with you!
