Happy 2015! Much like a new day, a new year comes with a fresh start and change. Last year was a year of costumes, and it's been an incredible one. Cosplaying is an art of many disciplines, and I could not have gotten through the year without the help of all of the incredible cosplayers that I've had the honour of meeting last year. I've learned a lot, and if nothing else, I've learned just how little I actually do know about cosplaying and costuming.

Even with all the help and support it is still an increasingly time consuming endeavour. My list of hobbies and activities continue to add up, while my closet, is quickly running out of space. Cosplaying will never not be in my life, but at some point soon, I will have to start being more selective about when, where I show up and with what.

That being said, the idea of not wearing a costume to a convention is just so strange to me now, the whole notion of wearing regular clothes just makes me want to run away and join a naturist community for the weekend instead. For now, and for 2015, I've decided that I will once again do my best to attend as many events that I'm invited to in the fashion that I've become accustomed to, which is basically whatever I feel like I'll have the most fun in.

The big change for 2015 will be that I will now share the theme/world/universe/realm/crossover of every costume that I'll be planning for this year for those that want to join in on the fun :)

Looking at that list in its entirety tells me a few things. 1. This is going to be a crazy year, I can't believe how many places I'm going to. And I can't believe I'm still planning on going to a couple of cons not on this list on my own for fun. I think I have a problem. 2. I'm going to be meeting a lot of people! If you're one of them, I encourage you not to feel the need to shy away, I'll be more than happy to say hi :) 3. There's still a lot of costumes that I want/need to do that aren't on this list. But those fandoms would be better suited to other cons.. one day!

That's it, this is going to be a (insert your own adjective) year! Whether it's fantastic or catastrophic, adventures will be had, lessons will be learned, and if I make it all the way to 2016, it'll be cool once again to reflect on the year to see whether or not I'm proud of myself for how I've spent my time. The time to get started is now! :D
