A quick message concerning those attending PurCon 2! And the cosplay competition there :)

I love cosplaying, and seeing people in costumes at any con just makes me smile. With Supernatural cosplay contests, I always felt like there was something missing. And so this year, since they gave me some freedom, I wanted to try something a little different.

So we're having a cosplay performance competition! Sure the clothes are rugged and cool, but it's the characters who wear them that we love so much. This is a chance to showcase all of the personality and sass in style. The cosplay performance competition (might be called the Master cosplay competition?) is essentially a stage show. You're welcome to and encouraged to have and use audio and video aids, props, helpers, whatever you need to best showcase your character, your costume and be creative doing it!

Since this is a first time thing there is certainly going to be a lot of bumps and growing pains, but if you're even curious at all in participating, please do! We'll do our best to figure it out together. If it all goes well, parts of the stage will probably collapse, but no one will get hurt or injured and everyone will have a great time!
