Media award Winner of Miss TVB Peopele's Choice 2009 in Miss Chinatown USA

After 5 days of intense rehearsals and activities, yesterday was the day of the pageant.

I received the Media award from TVB as the winner of the Miss TVB People Choice.

There were a total of over 10,000 votes since the voting has started and I am very honored to once again receiving an award from TVB.

Thanks to all my friends and supporters for all the love and support.

This week, we will be doing visitations to sponsors and Chinese associations, press conference, Parade, and the Coronation Ball.

三藩市中華總商會主辦的「2009全美華埠小姐競選」，昨晚在三藩市藝術宮舉行，14位參賽佳麗經過將近四個小時的激烈競賽，來自休斯頓、在德州奧斯汀大學畢業、現年22歲的吳欣雲脫穎而出，奪得桂冠，並贏得現金獎一萬元。

吳欣雲對於自己獲得全美華埠小姐榮譽激動萬分。她說，將以此作為自己人生新的起跑線，竭盡全力，為推廣中華文化作出自己的貢獻。

第一公主兼華商小姐為來自西雅圖、現年22歲的朱恩衡；三藩市華埠小姐為現年23歲、加州的周玉霞；才藝小姐則由星島日報推薦，現年21歲籍貫山西的原遠奪得，TVB觀眾投票獎由來自香港 25歲的陳鈺芸奪得。

舞臺設計及主旋律與本屆比賽的「國際華裔佳麗，匯聚美麗傳奇」主題相輝映，來自加州、紐約州、夏威夷州、華盛頓州、伊利諾州、馬里蘭州、德州、新澤西州的佳麗們出色的表現，掌聲不絕。

佳麗們的穿著在本屆有重大突破。三點泳裝出場，青春勃發，凸顯健美身段和體態。她們先以流利的中英文自我介紹；才藝環節，盡情展現各自的風采；智力競賽環節，佳麗們妙語橫聲。尤其是才藝比賽，雖然佳麗們表演的風格及主題各不相同，但無論是舞蹈、歌唱還是鋼琴演奏，都演繹出色，觀眾掌聲不絕。

大會特別邀請八位曾獲獎的佳麗：蔣妮、徐仁惠、譚芬妮、馬耀鳳、黃麗娥、文矜晶、呂晶、劉陽擔任節目主持，並在舞臺上與觀眾們分享她們的獲獎感受以及未來的發展。2004年國際華裔小姐冠軍鍾嘉欣（現為香港無線電視台當家花旦）擔任表演嘉賓，在舞臺上載歌載舞，贏得熱烈鼓掌。

全美華埠小姐將參加女皇加冕餐舞會、拜訪僑團公所、女皇杯排球賽、春節花車巡遊等系列活動。
