HK Tattoo Art Exhibition

You'll be hearing a lot about this in the coming weeks, as the ChinaStylus / Red Dog Tattoo Art Exhibition SKIN:INKSfinally kicks off after a year or more in the planning.

We've shot life-size, semi-nude portraits of around 28 different Hong Kong people ranging from chefs to mechanics to models, and these have been printed out onto canvas and given to HKs finest tattoo artists. The artists then use this ‘skin’ image as a blank canvas to create his/her artwork by drawing/painting directly onto it.

Tattoo studios and artists taking part include: Star Crossed, Ace Dragon, Temple, Primal, Blue Tongue, Magic, Cubist, Jimmy Ho, Ricky, Ink, Sammy, Sze C, Kin Tat To O and Fung.

The exhibition will be held at Racks from June 13 - July 09, 2008 with a MASSIVE closing event and charity auction of the artworks at CLIQ on Thursday July 10th.
