Summer Season

Greetings,

With summer upon us, there are many things to look forward to, BBQs, the warm weather, and of course catching up on movies! Speaking of movies, we haven’t had a production in a little while. Not to worry, a few ideas are being developed as we speak. Also, look out for a couple new uploads on our channel coming soon!

In the meantime, I’ve been doing some refresher reading on screenwriting and lighting. The two books I’ve been reading are, The Screenwriter’s Bible,by David Trottier and Film Lighting, by Kris Malkiewicz. As you can tell by the titles, both books cover two different topics, but as an independent filmmaker, we have to wear many hats. I personally enjoy screenwriting more, but knowing good film lighting is key to turning those story ideas into visual art on screen. With these books in hand along with the other skills we’ve acquired, the next Revelcade production will look even better than before!
