I'm especially proud after going to the film festival and watching the films that were selected for this film festival. The films the programmers selected were all not only extremely well put together but really creative as well. I went and watched the blocks of Best Animation, Best Dramatic Short Films( 600's category), and also Best Short Documentary, and man was I wowed by the quality and content of the films.
This award comes at a perfect time when we are editing 600 to get it TV ready for our TV premier on basic cable at the end of this month/August(details will be shared later when everything's signed and ready to air). I'm excited that my first film has come this far, but at the same time, I feel a distance from it due to the current stage of my life having moved on from the 600 era. Nonetheless, I'm proud of all that the film has accomplished and believe it's my most personal film to date out of the three so far in my career. After this documentary, I think it's time to get back to the 600-esque type of films again. I'm excited for the opportunities ahead and what the future may bring.
