Day at the park

After a busy few days of castings and shooting I decided yesterday that I needed to go to a park and just unwind and not think about modeling for a while. I am so used to dressing stylish that I couldn't find anything to wear that screamed park-wear. So after trying on this and that I finally decided to just layer a couple of tank tops and wear a pair of shorts...plain and simple!  (but of course I had to style it with a couple bracelets and a necklace) When we got there I noticed my husband's shirt didn't go with his pants and it bothered me...a lot. So I told him he should take his shirt off and just wear the t-shirt underneath. He was like, "I thought you were taking a day off from all this stuff!" but he also pointed out something to me. I am constantly styling. I style everything and anything I can get my hands on. I look at people on the street and I want to help them with their wardrobe...I actually feel sad when I see how some people dress. I styled our trip to the park!!

The reason why this was such a revelation to me is because lately I've been thinking about what I really want to do with my life. Modeling is great, I have had the most amazing experiences meeting the coolest people and I've made a lot of money. But it's not exactly the most fulfilling job. I would like to do something that uses my talents more, and now I am thinking, why not be a stylist?

It's just a thought, and something I need to think  more about  and learn more about but I think it would be something that I really would enjoy.

The park was beautiful and we had a little picnic under a tree facing a pond, chilling with the Canadian geese and reading a book, but most of all the park helped me answer a question I've had for a long time, "what am I good at?" and that is amazing!
