希治閣:蝴蝶夢

在1月15日的希治閣座談會,講者劉嶔、鄭宇成談到希治閣開創獨特的電影語言,巧妙運用鏡頭景深以及空間開拓炮製懸疑,令觀眾代入角色,體驗危險情人的驚心動魄以及好人被冤枉的孤獨無助。

Hitchcock stunned American audiences with his first Hollywood project REBECCA, bringing in his iconic enigma of a whirlwind romance turning into a murder suspense. Chilling elegance prevails as the innocent Joan Fontaine, after marrying a brooding rich widower, finds the ghost of his ex-wife still dominates the twisted lives at Manderley. The film garnered the Best Picture and Best Cinematography awards at the Oscars.
In the seminar on 15 Jan, critics Lau Yam and Cheng Yu Shing stated that Hitchcock established his distinctive style by using point-of-view shots and dramatic use of space to create his enigmas of suspense. Audiences are compelled to experience the complicated emotions with his dangerous lovers and the solitude as his wrong man.
