Now Available at App Store and Android Market

5 March, 2012 － The 36th Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF) will run from 21 March to 5 April, 2012. To keep all movie fans and festival goers abreast of the most comprehensive and latest information of the Festival, the official HKIFF mobile app is now available for free at iPhone App Store and Android Market.

Special Features of the HKIFF App

The official HKIFF mobile app for both iPhone and Android supports traditional Chinese and English. The HKIFF App allows users to check screening times, venues, film information and trailers, and all the latest updates and events about the Festival. Users can also bookmark their favorite selections for easy access in "Favorite" and plan their film schedule by adding films to their own calendar in "My planner".

GPS System, Connect to the World

"Film Search" enables users to search films by title, director, code, country, and Chinese language films. "Venue Search" allows users to find nearby venues with GPS. Furthermore, users can share their favorite selections with their friends and relatives through facebook, Twitter and email. The official mobile app not only offers the most information about the Festival, but also provides a platform to connect film fans from all around the world.

The HKIFF is one of Asia's most reputable showcases for filmmakers, film professionals and filmgoers from all over the world to launch new work and experience outstanding films.

The Festival has grown to be Hong Kong's largest cultural event, screening over 280 titles from 50 countries in 11 major cultural venues in Hong Kong annually, with an audience of over 600,000 and 5,000 business executives attending the Hong Kong International Film and TV Market (FILMART).
