Society (HKIFFS) announced today the Grand Opening of the Summer

International Film Festival 2011 (9 – 23 August). The international premiere

of opening film You Are the Apple of My Eye was held today at The Grand

Cinema, Elements with director Giddens KO and actor KO Chen-Tung in

attendance.

Giddens KO and KO Chen-Tung made the special trip to Hong Kong for

opening night. They had a full round of media interviews; and attended the

Meet-the-Audience and Q & A session at their screenings to share their

thoughts and experiences. Their visit was made possible by Festival Partners

Eva Air, Hotel ICON and emmanuel f. salon.

Festival highlights include the screening of Japanese comedies, plus film

tributes on acclaimed French director Claude CHABROL, a pioneering

member of the French New Wave group, who first came into prominence in

the 1950s, and TAKAMINE Hideko, one of Japan’s most celebrated screen

actresses, whose talent for comedy is highlighted in the festival’s screening of

two Carmen films featuring her signature screen character.

The SIFF 2011 runs from 9 August to 23 August 2011. A full list of film titles

《那些年，我們一起追的女孩》– 照片發佈

2011年8月9日（香港）─「夏日國際電影節2011」（8月9日至23日）

今日隆重開幕，開幕電影《那些年，我們一起追的女孩》於圓方The

Grand戲院舉行國際首映，為一連15日的夏日國際電影節2011揭開序

幕。

導演九把刀和主角柯震東專程來港出席開幕電影首映禮，並在首映禮

上接受傳媒訪問。二人其後出席與觀眾見面環節，並在放映完畢後與

觀眾對話。導演九把刀和柯震東的是次行程，有賴合作夥伴長榮航空、

Hotel ICON及emmanuel f salon贊助。

電影節的焦點節目包括多部新鮮出爐的日本喜劇，以及向法國新浪潮巨

匠查布洛致敬的專題，還有被譽為日本映畫史上演技最好的「國民女

優」高峰秀子的經典電影回顧。
