奇幻星球、美女與野獸

藍色巨人主宰奇幻星球，人類不過是螻蟻，隨時被一隻手指捽死。少見動畫打入康城影展競賽，當年《奇幻星球》不只去了康城，還贏了個特別獎，片中瘋狂創意前所未見，絕對是想像力大爆炸的神作，《阿凡達》跟它相比都顯得小兒科，需要親眼看過才能體會箇中奇幻奧妙。

FANTASTIC PLANET & BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

Widely praised for its originality and psychedelic imagery, FANTASTIC PLANET is a landmark of European animation. In the distant planet Ygam, enslaved humans are the playthings of giant blue native inhabitants. The narrator, Terr, escapes from the blue giants and begins to organize a revolt. The images, music and sound design are so imaginative and unforgettable that it won the Special Jury Prize at Cannes.

Filmmaker Jean Cocteau, who is also a painter, sculptor, novelist and playwright, uses haunting images to make BEAUTY AND THE BEAST one of the most magical and romantic films ever put on screen. Through the use of live action and a minimum of special effects, Cocteau's poetic sensibility and surreal imagery achieves a "realism of the unreal".
