導演胡笳：「我曾跟朋友講笑說這部電影應該叫《大愛無疆》。其實最初寫劇本時沒有這麼複雜，第一稿劇本中還沒有男男關係。但當我去過那個海南的小漁村以後，就覺得應該要有些變化，因為那邊的年輕人特別自由。我覺得應當要打開自己的心門，想愛就愛吧！」

《檳榔血》下場放映時間為4月22日（六）晚9:45，導演胡笳將再次在電影放映後來到the sky與觀眾交流。

? [#HKIFF41 Festival Daily] “Love, as love leads you!”: Asian Premiere of #TheTasteofBetelNut

Director Hu Jia of The Taste of Betel Nut: “I once jokingly told my friend that I should’ve named this film Love without Boundaries. When I started off with the script, it was a simpler affair. The relationship between the two male leads was not there in my first draft. But after visiting the small fishing village in Hainan I felt I should make some changes because the young people there are so free-spirited. I felt that I should open up my own heart, and love, as love leads me!

The next screening of The Taste of Betel Nut is at 9:45pm on 22 April Saturday at the sky, after which there will again be a meet-the-director session with Hu Jia.
