安東尼奧尼個人導演的第一部與最後一部彩色長片作品，每個畫面經營得瑰麗絢爛，卻更見人生的絕望灰暗。與世界格格不入的美麗少婦帶着兒子在人群間來來去去，丈夫、情人、財富，最終統統與她毫不相干，只剩下孤獨與虛無。靈感枯竭的導演欲尋新繆斯，到頭來女主角失踪，結婚對象亦懷了別人的孩子，感情一切成空。工業區的毒煙瀰漫，公路的霧中風景，疑幻疑真，真箇是生命無常，人心變幻。

在1月21的映後談，影評人劉嶔談到《女人女人》是 #安東尼奧尼 刻意突破過往形式風格的嘗試，以較平實細碎的敍事營造空間，反映愛情生活已隨時代轉變，但不安與恐懼的感覺依然。

In the first and final feature film in color under Antonioni’s sole directorship, the deepest colors only paint the palest lives. The palette of corrupted industrial landscape engulfs a detached woman who struggles to survive in a world of cultural neurosis and existential doubt. An extended scene on a fog-enshrouded highway sets the scene for a body and soul baring voyage into one man’s artistic and erotic consciousness.

In the post-screening talk on 21 Jan, critic Lau Yam said #Antonioni has taken a turn from his usual narrative elusiveness and statement about the human condition, and challenged himself with a new fractured story to explore life and relationships in IDENTIFICATION OF A WOMAN, a film tinged with modesty and irony.
