盧馬喜歡處理幽微難測的狀態：在《#克拉之膝》裏，盧馬只着眼於膝蓋那麼不起眼的地方，卻把男人受困於慾望的深層底蘊都談出來了； 在《#慕德家的一夜》裏，男女共處一室大談巴斯卡哲學，情慾卻在頻密的對話中緩緩發酵。 「道德故事」系列這兩部精品，令盧馬在票房及獎項皆報捷。1月6日《慕德家的一夜》設映後座談會，由影評人張偉雄及馮嘉琪主講。

【CineFan ? Jan/Feb Programmes】Rohmer’s seduction through ambiguity

Seduction through ambiguity is the most frequently explored in Rohmer's films. In CLAIRE’S KNEE, a man’s fetishistic obsession of a girl’s knee reflects the seducer’s complex inner desire; while in MY NIGHT AT MAUD’S, the philosophical discussions of a man and a divorcee in her bedroom are fermented into (ir-)resistable desires. These two stories in Rohmer’s series of Six Moral Tales become successful both commercially and critically.
