35th HKIFF Presents World Premieres of Punished and Hi, Fidelity|第35屆香港國際電影節隆重呈獻兩部世界首映： 《報應》及《出軌的女人》

9 March 2011 (Hong Kong) – The Hong Kong International Film Festival Society (HKIFFS) proudly launches two
prominent World Premieres this month at the 35 th Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF): Punished, directed by the renowned local filmmaker LAW Wing-cheong, starring Anthony WONG, Richie REN, Janice MAN, Maggie CHEUNG Ho-yee, and LAM Lee; and

Hi, Fidelity , directed by the multi-talented filmmaker Calvin POON, starring Patricia HA, Michelle YE, Carrie NG, William CHAN, Chapman TO, XIAN Se-li and Shaun TAM.

The Gala Premieres of Hi, Fidelity and Punished will be held on 23 March and 4 April at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and Hong Kong Cultural Centre respectively.  The
directors and cast members of the films will attend the respective Gala Premiere. 

Punished is the latest work by LAW Wing-cheong.  Tycoon (Anthony WONG) is a tyrant who terrorizes both family and staff - the only exception being his loyal bodyguard (Richie REN).  When the tycoon’s good-for-nothing daughter is abducted and killed by
cold-blooded kidnappers, he asks his bodyguard to avenge his daughter’s death.  The revenge is executed without a hitch but there is little satisfaction in payback, and the tycoon finds himself plunging into lower and lower depths.

Hi, Fidelityis directed by Calvin POON, a famous local writer of lyrics, football commentator, screenplay writer and director.  The story describes how three lonely tai-tais portray the persistence and the determination of women nowadays and their refusal to
compromise with their ultimate fate.

Punished and Hi, Fidelity are just two of the 59 world, international or Asian film premieres being presented at this year’s HKIFF.

This year, the HKIFF has developed free mobile apps for the first time to provide programme details, venue information, news, and trailers on smart phones. In addition to the iPhone app which was introduced last month, the Android app is now available for free download. Love Addiction | 2011 年 3 月 9 日 (香港) – 第35屆香港國際電影節將呈獻兩部世界首映，包括曾執導多部本地電影的羅永昌新作《報應》，由多位演員主演包括：黃秋生、任賢齊、文詠珊、張可頤、林利； 另一部則是由多才多藝的潘源良執導的《出軌的女人》，由夏文汐、葉璇、吳家麗、陳偉霆、杜汶澤、冼色麗、譚俊彦擔綱演出。

《出軌的女人》及《報應》之世界首映將分別於本月23日假香港會議展覽中心及4月4日假香港文化中心隆重舉行。屆時，電影導演及演員均會於首映禮上與觀眾見面。今年香港國際電影節為影迷帶來多達 59部屬世界、國際或亞洲首映電影。

《報應》是導演羅永昌的最新作品，講述一個有關富豪家變的故事。黃秋生飾演的富商，仗勢橫行。女兒突然遭到縛架，富商卻以為這是她自導自演標參戲 碼，豈料最後女兒竟遭撕票。富商不甘受辱，派出忠心保鏢（任賢齊）為女兒報仇。殺人任務雖然順利執行，但富商反陷進萬劫不復之地。

潘源良為香港著名填詞人、足球評述員、電影編劇及導演，而這次執導的《出軌的女人》嘗試從理解及體諒的角度，展現不同性格的靚太，出軌的箇中心態和奇情遭遇。她們有些為情、有些為性，有些出於寂寞或報復，偏離了原來的生活型態。

今年電影節首次開發手機資訊平台，推出免費應用程式，提供節目詳情和宣傳片。繼早前推出的iPhone App後，Android應用程式於即日起可供免費下載。
