The 9th Hong Kong-Asia Film Financing
Forum (HAF), to be held at Hong
Kong Convention and Exhibition
Centre from 21-23 March 2011,
announced today its selection of 28
outstanding film projects from 13
territories, including China,
Hong Kong, France, Finland, India,
Israel, Japan, Malaysia, the
Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan,
Thailand and Vietnam.
Roger GARCIA,
Executive Director of The Hong
Kong International Film Festival
Society, commented, “We
are encouraged that HAF continues to
attract projects that reflect the
depth and breadth of
creativity in the region, aspire to
reach wider audiences, and develop the
art and industry of the cinema in
our time. Every year we strive
to act as the meeting place
between filmmakers and the financiers,
distributors, buyers and
others in the international film
industry who can help realise their
projects. The development and
funding of an independent film
is often a long and arduous process. I
hope that HAF can help in this
process by nurturing
long-lasting relationships and
networks that are part of the support
system for any filmmaker.”
This year, HAF continues to attract
projects from world-class talents.
