From what I heard, the CEO of
"Kumite", a French magazine
dedicated to Asian cinema where I used to write regularly since 2002, decided
recently to kill the magazine, just like that, after eight years of existence.
The already finished
n°35 issue of “Kumite, which was supposed to be published in
March 2008, will
never be released, but the journalists who worked on it will be paid and will
maybe have one collector issue for themselves (how generous).
Among all the
magazines I wrote for,
"Kumite"was my favourite one. But most of all, I’ll
miss to work with Charles Ferragut, the most serious, passionate and coolest
chief-editor that I’ve ever met.
