Tokyo Oct 08 - Harajuku (now with more Tommy Lee!)

I met up with Jason and his friend Derrick, both visiting from Shanghai on Monday afternoon -

月曜日午後僕はJasonと彼の友達Derrickと一緒東京の原宿へ行った。あそこで昼御飯を食べた、その後ちょっと散歩した：

We headed over to Harajuku for lunch... and some walking around.

I only saw one or two people dressed weird... it was a Monday afternoon after all!

We stopped by the "KDDI Designing Studio", one of my favorite places in Tokyo to check out (now that the Sony showroom kinda sucks).

I didn't get a good pic of the outside, but thanks to google image search,  I can tell you it looks like this -

Its a big round glass building and has a spiral ramp goes around the inside of the building.  Each floor has different products on display and some random kiosks with some high tech stuff to play with...

One floor had this 'facial recognition profession predictor' type tool -

You take your picture with a camera and then it compares your facial dimensions with people of different professions.... hmm high tech Physiognomy?!?  Could it be accurate?

Well the obvious answer is - no! not at all accurate! Apparently I am best suited (69% match) with a BARTENDER...  yes, that's right BARTENDER.

it gets worse!  2nd place (63% match) with SOMMELIER!  WTF!?!  (those who know me know exactly how wrong that is)

3rd place with 46% was 'web creator' (something that somewhat matches my actual job right now I suppose?)

Jason's was a bit better:

64% - Camera Man

48% - Talent (aka actor/tv personality)

40% - Web Creator

They also had a kiosk that let you make photo cards with a QR code and contact info on them.  There was a board where you could tape yours up to share:

That's me approximately in the center... unfortunately they make you put a sticker over your # and QR code... doh,  I was hoping to use this as a way to meet chicks in Tokyo. :-P

On the ground floor they had an F1 car:

I decided not to get a picture,  but for the sake of Jason and Derrick, I did take photos of them in the car... which just coincidentallyhappen to have the cute campaign girl in them...   :-P

TOMMY LEE:As I mentioned the other day,  we also saw Motley Crue drummer TOMMY LEE on the corner in Harajuku when we were leaving the KDDI building. I had one picture of them from behind that wasn't too clear.  But  it turns out Derrick  had happened to have taken a picture as we were crossing the street looking that way -

Thats him on the far right! And now you can see the 'boxum blonde' I mentioned...
